Cycling around Loch Ness

Like walkers, cyclists will find a wealth of routes in the dazzling Loch Ness area, from challenging mountain tracks to gentle loch-side paths. The most important cycle route in the vicinity is the Great Glen Mountain Bike Trail stretching some 80 miles from Fort William in the west, to the City of Inverness in the east, enjoying spectacular views along the way. Managed by the Forestry Commission, the trail shares some of the Great Glen Way walking route but is largely a dedicated way-marked cycle path.
